Shiraz came to us at the tender age of 8 weeks all the way from Perth. Thanks to Marion and Barrie Tyson of Kentish Kennels for trusting us with this lovely red head. Shiraz is our foundation bitch and has proven that she has the goods when it comes to producing quality litters. Shiraz gave us 3 wonderful litters - see the XX page for more information on the puppies of these litters.
With a stunning head, an independent spirit, great character and a mothering nature, Shiraz is my best friend. She quickly established herself as boss of the clan and has been a great girl to own and love. She is eager to please and learn. Shiraz enjoyed showing occasionally, and will compete in 2009 for her obedience titles. During 2006, we introduced Shiraz to lure coursing and she has proven herself a very excitable natural. I have never seen this girl get so excited as she does at luring.
Shiraz is my forever girl. Now retired from the breeding program, she enjoys being a "dog". Her days are spent chasing the waterdragons, swimming in the dam, rolling in "whateva" she can find and generally causing me much grief over the condition of her coat and her now "natural" look. Too smart for her own good - she is forever getting into mischief and has even learned how to open the fridge in which the dog food is kept.
